Children are a valuable part of the community at Riverside UMC!!

There are lots of ways for children to get involved:

Sunday School - 9:00

Riverside has Sunday School classes for Pre-School (3 & 4 yr. Olds) up through Jr. High at 9:00 AM. We are very fortunate to have excellent teachers who have been with us many years. 

Sunday School - Power Hour - 10:30 am (ages 4 yrs - 5th grade)

Children meet for an hour filled with crafts, stories, puppets and more!  Join us for learning about God while having fun.  Contact Vicki Rich: 486-5201 or 871-0155 or Julie Bowers: 457-4864 with any questions (or if you would like to help!)

Children's Choir - 6:30pm on Sundays (During school year only)

Does your child love to sing and dance?  Come join our children's choir!  We put on 2 shows a year, and rotate singing in the services for the congregation to enjoy throughout the year.   Contact Vicki Rich: 486-5201 or 871-0155 with any questions (or if you would like to help!)

Children in Worship

In addition to these activities children are welcome at all three services.  For your convenience, there is a cry room in the back of the sanctuary (for the 9:00 service) as well as rocking chairs in the back of the Fellowship Hall (for the 10:30 service).

Nursery (for all three worship services on Sunday morning)

Our fully staffed nursery will provide excellent childcare for your children 4 years of age and younger during all three services.  Children are cared for by paid staff, assisted by trained volunteers in a safe, clean, fun, dedicated nursery. A paging system is provided for additional safety, comfort and security.
